convert ssx to avi
Ok so I just bought beyond tv.... and so far it is good...
I have only run into one problem at the moment... I recorded a show... Best quality and Divx avi... 2hr show is 5.5gb as an ssx file... when I went to check my machine it said... virtual memory low... so I raised my swap file to 4096 + I have a gig of ram so hoping that will fix my problem... anyways.... how do I convert this ssx file that didnt finish?

In Web Admin, go to ShowSqueeze from the left nav bar. Find the show you want to ShowSqueeze, click on Options on the right.

a web page way of accessing this stuff??? I am recording something so it isnt converting yet but guess it will once done...

I'd be interested if this works. Whenever I convert from SSX to AVI (in order to save disk space) I end up with massive audio sync problems! I would choose not to delete the original show when conversion completes - just in case....

I found the option but it failed... so I just tried recording it last night as it was on again... but had other issues.. will post that in a new topic..

I have the same kind of issue after upgrading from 3.7 to 4.3 beyond tv the program created a ssx file and cannot convert the file to AVI
my machine should be able to handle this I blame BEYOND TV PCI EXPRESS MOTHER BOARD (ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe) Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00 GHZ DUAL CORE 3 GIGS OD DDR2 MEMORY NVIDIA GEFORCE 7800 GT Also registered divx pro (latest version) if beyond tv 4.3 has created the ssx and fails to convert to avi is there any other program or option to convert the file?

The spec of the machine is not the problem. There is a bug that, in my case at least, is related to PAL recordings only. It is probably going to be fixed in one of the 4.x betas but not sure when.
