Guide fails to update

My guide update no longer updates in v.4_1 and I haven't found any current tips to resolve this. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall with no luck.

Maybe the uninstall is leaving things behind, while searching I saw a thread that mentioned instructions for a manual uninstall. Is there a link somewhere to get them? Maybe they would point to what else needs to be dumped so I can get the guide back on track. I sent a request to tech support but I don't know how long the line is there, and I would like to get this working. I would hate to miss "24" if I could avoid it. It's a 2 hour episode tonight.

Also the online guide won't let me see any listings so I can't even use the remote option to set up a recording.

I have the same issue! I downloaded the trial BTV 4.1 and I am unable to get the guide to load manually or automatically during the night.

When I try to download manually, I sometimes get the 1% message. I always get the 5% message. But after about 10 seconds (of 5%) I get the idle message. It sure would be nice if there was a fault indicator so that the appropriate corrective action could be applied.

I'm glad I didn't buy it yet, this sure looks like a dud to me!
