Missing Tuner dll files

I recently had virus that screwed up my system. It blocked admin rights, disabled my firewall and a few other annoying things. I'm sure a bunch of you have heard about it and I thought I had it cleaned up until now.

After I got the virus, the Firefly remote stopped working, so I uninstalled all of the snapstream products and tried a fresh reinstall.

The installation program ran until the end and gave me the message:
"Your system us not setup to allow registration of BeyondTV libraries, please contact your Administrator or SnapStream media support"
I'm on the adminitrator account, so I don't see how that works...maybe its the virus again in this case.

So I decided to continue and ran the BTV setup wizard. The setup wizard ran up to when you are choosing the tuning device (IR blasters). I received a message indicating that the tuner dll files were missing and to contact my administrator. The exact message was:
"Unable to locate Driver dll for any tuning devices"
Then the program shuts down.

Maybe the virus is still screwing with my system. i don't know. It seems like the two errors are directly related.

So, I wanted to uninstall and try a fresh download of BTV4.1.
I couldn't uninstall BTV4 through Add/Remove Programs and the only way to reinstall BTV4 was to set the build number to 0 in the registry so that I could upgrade.
The upgrade process ran and I received all the same messages.

I've tried this a third time and I receive the same messages again.

Can anyone help?

Could be the virus hosed some system files. Check your installation of .NET 1.1, maybe try to reinstall it.

Worst case (I know you don't want to hear this) is a fresh Windows reinstall.

OK, I unistalled MS .net 1.1 and when I try to reinstall it, it installs then rolls back and gives me this error:
"Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 has ended prematurely. If this persists, please contact Product Support"
I click OK and get a second one:
"Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 has failed. If this persists, please contact Product Support"


Any other idea?
