Feature Request

2 things:
1. Ability to search for a date and time in the program guide.
2. Ability to record for a specified length of time. In other words, record this channel for the next 10 minutes or whatever the user wants.

You can already do this with a manual recording, but I suspect you want to have this option when you are watching a show and hit record

I think I see what he's getting at...it would be nice to have a "Quick Record" without having to set up a Manual Record session. The feature would just start recording whatever you're watching, with whatever is already captured. When you wanted it to stop, you'd stop it.

Just like a dumb VCR.

Pretty much that is the point. Hit record and capture whats in the buffer and let the user choose how much longer, to the end of the show, 5 more minutes. The idea came when a friend was going to interviewed on the News. All I wanted to record was her interview not the whole newscast. Some idea would follow if you were watching some random game on TV, a game you really didn't care about but you just saw an amazing play. You might want to show it to somebody but only that couple of minutes. Just an idea.
