BTV4 Trial Version Limitations?

Are there any limitiations in the trial version of BTV4? I've been looking into quality settings for recording, and people are saying they can set the bitrate, CBR, VBR etc. Even setup different recording profiles depending on the type of video. All I can do with the trial version is choose Fair, Good, Better, Best, etc.

the only real limitations is that it only works during the trial period and that the guide data is only available for 7 days in the future (typically 12-14 in the full version)

you can access the web admin of beyondtv while its running, on the pc running beyondtv open internet explorer and in the address bar type:
http://localhost:8129
this will bring up the web-based admin, allowing you to tweak the "nitty-gritty" settings that most users dont need to adjust.

You can create your own recording qualities or tweak the existing qualities in web admin. If you are going to play with the existing qualities, I would recommend saving as new quality. Web Admin\Settings\Advanced Settings\Video Qualities\Edit or Create New

Very interesting, I may have just been sold. I'm out of excuses. You'd think they'd advertise that a little better, I was writing BTV4 off because I couldn't control the quality. Hmmm $70 though, hell of alot better than the bundled Hauppauge software, but $70 worth? I think it just may be, simply because of the padding feature. Thanks for the info. Decisions, decisions.
