Problem with Streaming
I am able to stream recorded shows via internet access on my home network. When my friends try to access the same recording -
They are able to connect to my server, select a show to play, windows Media player launches properly and buffering begins OK. Problem is that the buffering stops at about 20% and never goes higher, thus they cannot view the shows. Any suggestions?? My ISP is Verizon DSL. Thanks.

i have verizon dsl also, my upstream bandwidth is nowhere near enough to stream video.
take a speed test on your connection (google broadband speed test). just did it and mine comes in at 133 kbps. the "good" showsqeeze quality is about 1364 kbps. so you can see a little difference in the numbers there. take a show you have and try squeezing it "single channel ISDN" that's about 60kbps, and then have your friends try watching that show.
