DivX and S-Video

I'm new to the media center system set up. I'm now using BeyondTV 4.1 and recording with MPEG2. I then let it compress the shows to DivX. I have an S-Video cable run to my BENQ 32" LCD TV. When I play the MPEG2 shows on the TV they play fine. When I play the DivX shows they show as a blue screen, but display fine on the computers LCD monitor.

Is there a compatibility issue with DivX and S-Video? Will this go away if I connect the computer to the TV with a DVI cable?

Thanks for any knowledge on the topic.

Re: DivX and S-Video

Nah, I've got S-video running on 2 of my computers and showsqueeze to DivX plays back just fine.

Could be though that the aspect ratio that your system is displaying is confusing your TV, but I'm not sure how to fix that.
