Need help with 2 Pc's with seperate tuners

Hello All!

Need some suggestions on how to improve my setup.

I have 1 PC with 2 PVR-250 tuners. No complaints works wonderfully.

I just purchased one of the HD hardware bundles from SnapStream and instead of putting it into the same machine would prefer to put it into a separate machine. I would still like to use the single interface to control both installations. My questions are:

1. Can BTV work on 2 separate computers, so that I can watch/setup recording/etc from a single interface?

2. I know I need to purchase a license to do this that is ok with me, just need to make sure I will have the full functionality.

3. Which license do I need to purchase? A full BTV license or ???

To make this clear I want to record from each machine (1 pc has 2 tuners the other has a single HD tuner) and be able to watch shows from either machine with the full functionality of the BTV interface.

Thanks

JN

Re: Need help with 2 Pc's with seperate tuners

The real limitations is that you have to setup recordings on the individual machines. No way to merge that part. I have four machines, so it gets a little old.

Watching, however, is easy. You just define each machines video folders on all the machines and it merges the recorded shows listings. Make sure you use UNC \\servers\drive\folder rather than drive letters as it is more reliable.

You do need to purchase a full license.
