Programming Information Missing at Live TV Startup

After starting Beyond TV4, when I go to Live TV or to view recorded programs, when the video window opens most of the time the information areas on the bottom and top of the window are blank or displaying the remnants of the main menu.

Is anyone else having this problem? Sometimes after watching TV for awhile, if you click on the screen to bring up the information, it is all there.

Also, when it is there, up on the top section where it has some control symbols, there is one that looks like hammer/wrench. When I click on that a black box opens in the video window. What is that supposed to be? Where can I find and explanation of what these buttons do? When you hover over them, you don’t get any info like you do if you hover over something in Windows.

Re: Programming Information Missing at Live TV Startup

Sounds like a driver issue with your GEForce. Does it work properly when you change to Overlay in BTV?

Re: Programming Information Missing at Live TV Startup

I had it set to overlay. I'm going to try 3D.

Re: Programming Information Missing at Live TV Startup

Have you got the latest drivers for your video card? Run dxdiag and see how it makes out on the direct3d tests. Do you by chance have another video card you could swap?
Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling BTV if the above doesn't work.

Re: Programming Information Missing at Live TV Startup

Yes I do have the latest drivers for the video card and no, I don't have another HD capable video card I can try.

I've tried the uninstall/reinstall thing a couple of times and like I said, sometimes the info is there and sometimes it isn't.

I just ordered an Athlon 64 3700 for the extra cpu power. After I get and install it, I'll see what happens. When BTV works it works good, but it is too buggy for me if the new cpu doesn't help.

Time will tell.
