Change Hard drive it records to?

I'm away from home and have been recording a lot more than I originally thought. I'm afraid I'm going to run out of hard drive space, so I was wondering if there is a way I can remotely change the hard drive it records to.

Do you have your router set up so that you can get to web admin remotely ? If so, you can go to Settings/Recording Preferences and change the Video Folder. If you haven't already created a recording folder on the other hard drive you will need to do that first.

I don't know what that means? Would I actually have to be at the house to do this? Is there any other way to change the recording drive?

It would have been something that you would have had to set up, so I'm guessing that you didn't. Basically, you can open specific ports on your router that allow you to connect to Web Admin remotely. For example, when I am at work, I can use IE to connect to Web Admin on my home network/BTV server, and manage these types of settings. This kb article describes which ports to open.

You would also need to use a service like this to host:

Of course, this doesn't help your current situation. Do you currently have the ability to log into your home network/BTV server remotely ?

Thanks for the links, I'll have to try them next time. If I go to snapstream.net I can log in there and setup recordings. Is there anything I can do there?

No, you'll need to make the change in the web admin as nanook pointed out.
