Channel Changin Issue

I'm using BTV v4 with a Motorola cable box and a serial cable to change the channels. Channel changing is working, but when BTV or the remote changes the channel to the SAME channel two lines of the guide show up on the screen for about 5 mins. When it tunes to different channels, it works fine, just shows the current show for about 5 seconds and goes away. I tried changing "UseEnter" in the motorola config it works fine for 3 digit channels but not 2 or 1 digit channels. I've tested using the remote and if you type in just the needed numbers (9 for channel 9 or 29 for channel 29 and then enter) it works fine. When you go to live tv and change the channel with the keyboard it seems to work ok and remove leading 0's. Is there a way in the config file to remove leading 0's or to add a "Exit" code after every operation?
