newbie having problems with dual tuners each w/ standard cable

Is it possible that you can't have two tuners each having standard cable inputs?

I've done a search in the support areas, but can't seem to find the specific answer. I've also done a quick forum search and can't find a specific thread dealing with this topic. If I missed it, please forgive me.

I've got the following:

Athlon XP 300+ w/ barton core
1GB memory
250GB HDD dedicated solely to recordings
80GB Boot HDD
GeForce 6600GT w/ S-Video output
Montego Bay w/ optical digital output
dual AverMedia 1500MCD Tuner Cards

Basically, I've got everything running. Beyond TV 4 Trial recognizes both tuners,
but when I try to use the Beyond TV Wizard to set up the second tuner card (which I put in after configuring the first one a couple of days ago), it won't let me choose "Standard Cable".

I get the error message, "The selected device's tuner input is already in use on another source. Please selectanother device or edit the existing video source by clicking "Back" twice and choosing "Edit an Existing Source"

The whole reason I bought the second AverMedia device was to use dual tuners to be able to record and watch a different channel at the same time. Did I miss something?

You can get that message if you select the same tuner twice in the setup (I speak from experience). If the tuners are identical, one should be labeled -1 and -2

The two tuners are labeled -1 and -2.

I decided to go back one more step and configure both cards at the same time.

This seemed to work. It was pretty late so I went

This morning, I recorded a show while channel surfing. It worked flawlessly.

I believe that I'll be buying this gem.
