Alternative program source
Can the same channel be available from multiple sources on different line-ups? And if so how do set up BTV to only display one reference to the channel in the EPG even if it exists on more than one lineup?
e.g if BTV detects someone's watching say "XYZ Channel" - lineup A - on USB2 encoder 1 and BTV needs to record a show on "ABC Channel" which is available on both Lineup A - USB-2 encoder 1 and lineup B - USB-2 encoder 2 will it automatically use the second encoder? Hope I've explained that OK! Thanks in advance, N. |

Re: Alternative program source
As I understand your question, yes it will use the second encoder.
It will go something like this: Are any encoders already in use? Yes, Encoder 1 is in use. Can I record this show on any other encoder? Yes, I can. So use it.

Re: Alternative program source
Thanks for your reply Kilrsat.
Do all the encoders have to share the same line-up or will BTV find another instance of the channel in a different line-up if it shares the same call-sign? i.e is the call-sign or the ID etc the unique identifier that BTV uses to locate and alternate source? Thanks in advance again, N. |
