How does VIIV effect BTV?
With all the news surrounding Intel's new VIIV platform at CES this week I was wondering how this will effect BTV?
They say it works with Window MCE, but nothing about 3rd party software. It sounds great to me, but I already have a pretty good investment in BTV software and hardware, I'd hate to have to give it all up for the convience of VIIV. Any comment? Does this make any sense or am I crazy? Dennis |

Re: How does VIIV effect BTV?
VIIV is a buzzword... it was originally meant as the name for the intel consumer 64bit revolution figurehead (VI = 6 IV = 4 ... 64... wow) but it's turned into a buzzword for computers that will basically turn on faster. Rumor has it that some kind of hardware recording engine optimized for Vista MCE will also debut on VIIV machines, but no one knows for sure.
never the less, I'm expecting intel to use a very cute sticker for this one. I think I'll be sticking to an athlon64 X2.
