Global vs App Volume in BTV4

In BTV3.x, the volume controls on my Niveus Remote and on my keyboard controlled the master (or global) volume on my computer. This was great, I would set my BTV volume to a comfortable level relative to how loud I wanted the rest of my computer sounds to be.
It seems that BTV4 hijacks commands to the master volume and adjusts it's own app volume instead. This issue seems to have been fixed for Firefly users in this thread, but that solution doesn't seem to apply to non-Firefly users.
Does anyone know how to get BTV4 to ignore master volume commands?

I've created a little application that defines new shortcuts that won't be caught by Beyond TV (or Beyond Media). Those shortcuts are Shift + Ctrl + U and Shift + Ctrl + D.

Additionally you can use this utility as a command line tool to set your master volume to a predifined value (and/or BTV or BM volume as well), for instance you can use this prior to launch BTV or BM to set both master and BTV volume to the value you want.

It figures also a nice volume indicator overlay that match the one used in BTV (currently it displays also when BTV and BM have focus, but I could release a version that doesn't).

You can download it from my site.

Regards,
Stéphane.

Note: I don't think that the Firefly trick will work because if I remember correctly the Firefly also send the same message to change master volume (as other remotes) and as such BTV will handle those as it's own volume change.
