Channel Frequency

I'm using Beyond TV 3.4... in Italy, Europe, PAL system.
How can I change a channel frequency or manually add channels and frequencies in a lineup?

It seems to me that XMLTV only works once you have an appropriate lineup installed. Am I wrong?

Thanks a million!

Re: Channel Frequency

It looks like it might be complicated getting answers to these questions. This thread is a guide to using XMLTV: XMLTV Listings importer for non-US users

For the more specific questions, try going to the SnapStream knowledgebase at
http://snapstream.custhelp.com/cgi-b...user/entry.php. In two separate searches, search on XMLTV, then frequency. It looks like the results will probably lead you to answers.

Yes you are wrong. The XMLTV Importer creates it's own lineup. This lineup is imported into Beyond TV and you'll have to use Beyond TV WebAdmin to associate this lineup to your videosource.

When you create your lineup (in the channels Editor of the Importer) you enter channel numbers. These channel numbers are a key in a frequency table (this frequency table is managed by Windows and there is one frequency table by country).

So there is no way in Beyond TV to input frequencies for your channels.

What you can do to know what channel numbers to use is to let Beyond TV autoscan your channels. Beyond TV will create a lineup with the channels it detected, you only have to take a look at this default lineup in WebAdmin and write down the channel numbers. You'll use those numbers in the XMLTV channel editor.

Regards,
Stéphane.
