TV tuner license

Question about the TV tuner license:

If I purchase a tuner license from Snapstream today to extend Beyond TV 3, can it be used for Beyond TV 4 as well ? Whereas the purchase of Beyond TV 3 today comes with a free upgrade to Beyond TV 4, there isn't the same free upgrade mentioned for the TV tuner license.

Can someone clarify if there is a free upgrade or not for the TV tuner license ?

There is no limit on the number of TV tuners that can be used with BTV 4. You'd be best to hold off on the purchase if you can. The release seems VERY close.

PS: You realise that you can use a second tuner with BTV3.x for free right?

Thanks for the clarification. I will wait till Beyond TV 4 is released before purchasing extra tuner license. I'm building a PVR with 2 WinTV PVR-500MCE (dual tuner each), so I do need the extra licenses.

Let me clarify things further, BTV4.0 does not use Tuner Keys. You can use as many Tuners as you see fit without the extra expense of Licences for Tuner, you can have 10 Tuners if you like.
