2-Tuner Conflict Resolution

Hello All,

I'm new to BTV but have used other PVR software. Which was why I was confused by the folowing:

- I have 2-tuners
- One show is recording from 8:00 to 9:00
- I try to record another show at 8:30 to using the Viewscape

I would expect BTV to just record the show on the other (unused) tuner. Instead it tells me it to resolve the "conflict" by choosing to stop the current recording in order to record the new show.

Am I missing something?

No, that should work as long as you are trying to record a channel that is available on both tuners. Can you describe your setup (tuners, inputs, etc) ?

Thanks for replying nanook. Your hint led me to double-check my channel line-up settings.

I have 2 channel line-ups 1 for standard cable and 1 for digital cable. I went thru the BTV web-interface and painstakingly add/removed channels.

My mistake was was in using the "Hide All" button in the channel setup tool. It doesn't just hide the channels that are visible on the page that you are looking at .... it hides all channels... period (in my case over 300 of them)... in all pages.

So by choosing "Hide All", it basically disabled 1 of my tuners by hiding all of the channels - doh!
