Jagged video rendering when watching hockey
I'm a big fan of NHL hockey and now that it is back, I notice when watching TV with BTV, that the playback is jagged and the video rendering has this noticable lag to it. It makes for a less than optimal viewing experience. This is playback from live TV but the same happens with recorded playback. The input is basic cable over an analog coax cable.
I'm not sure whether this is a hardware problem or software problem. Below is my rig's setup: P4 2.23 GHz 512MB ram 300GB 7200 Maxtor HDD GeForce Ti4200 video card Hauppage 500 dual tuner card Dell FP2000 20" LCD Also, the overall quality of the TV is lower than I'd expect considering I'm pushing the image over DVI to an LCD. What can I do to improve overall image quality? A better video card? |

Re: Jagged video rendering when watching hockey
sports is the worst for seeing interlacing problems. You *must* watch interlaced content with the overlay renderer, you can *not* get a proper interlaced signal to display properly with the 3D renderer.
