Can change channel on DTV box but not with any remotes

Can change channel on DTV box but not with any remotes

I can change the channels from the DirctTV D10 box but it won't change with any kind of remotes. Not the one it came with, or the oneforall remote. Does anyone have any idea on this, and what I can do to get a remote to work. The allforone works on my vcr and tv. Thanks
