MODERATED: This really ****** me off
Today... I was away from home for part of the day so I set up the BTV to begin recording my football game at 4PM. I got home at 4:20 and started watching. I killed the recording.
I continued watching for a couple hours then decided to go see a movie so I pressed manual record. It asked me "Do you want to record this... now?" and I said yes. I assumed it was recording. I went to my movie and went to watch the end of the football game when I returned and it is not there. ***! I followed the onscreen instructions and it should have been recording. I spend over $200 per year to watch my football team. This is 12.50 per game. BTV missed the final quarter of the football game. I want my $3 back! (JK ;-) ). But seriously... someone should make note of this flaw and get a fix out for it. If I press record the damn thing should RECORD! Last edited by DonK; 11-14-2005 at 03:48 PM. |

Re: This really ****** me off
This happens to me in 3.5 all the time. It drove me crazy too.
If you press "stop" recording, you CAN NOT start recording that show again by simply pressing the record button. It seems to remember the fact that you stopped it, and so it won't restart thinking you still want to "stop" the recording. The only workaround in 3.5 is to set up a manual recording by going to the setup screen, which is a pain. I think it's fixed in 3.7. edit: it is definitely fixed in 3.7 Last edited by DonK; 11-14-2005 at 03:47 PM. |

Re: This really ****** me off
Well I am at 3.7.4. I am beginning to wonder if this is an ATI or AMD issue because sometimes I have bittorrent downloads running and sometimes I don't and the machine still locks up (well... by lock up I mean BTV takes up 99.99% of CPU and I cannot unglue the machine without hard restart)
