New multiple monitor setup

Setting up a home office with 6 LCD's and 1 plasma display, running off of 2 computers (3 LCD's each, plasma is on a KVM switch). I would like to be able to run 6 independent TV feeds through, so that each monitor can display a separate channel. Is this possible with some combination of BTV/BTV Link products? Any other thoughts as to how to accomplish this?

Hmm. A lot of this depends on how you are driving the LCDs. You'll need to have some sort of hardware/sorftware (video card combo) that will allow you to display separate stuff on each one. At work, we use video cards from ColorGraphic that have 4 individual video "heads" on one card. I have 2 of these, which is essentially 8 video cards, in one PC. There is a dongle that attaches to the video card, with 4 VGA connections and 4 RCA-out connections, 1 for each "head". This is how we distribute TV. They have newer cards that accomodate DVI and so forth.

I don't think you can do this just with BTV and/or Link without additional hardware (computers and/or video cards).

Re: New multiple monitor setup

I am using a similar setup, but with some cheaper Matrox cards, 2 in each computer, which provides four video heads per computer (total of eight) which all have independent video overlays. Using this setup I can play 6 videos through Windows Media Palyer, one on each monitor. Now I want to take the next step of streaming live TV to each of the monitors.
