Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 xp rm supported?

I bought this card as a backup, or possibly to use in a second system. I've searched through various articles here and saw conflicting info as to whether this card was supported or not. I dont see it on the supported card list, but there are reports both on the board and in the knowledge base that it 'may' work.

Is anyone currently using this card and what are your experiences?

Thanks,
BT

Re: Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 xp rm supported?

I have my copy of BTV setup to use this card strictly as a streaming client.....AFAIK, that's all BTV is really good at right now.

I've switched full time to using Media Portal as it's an all in one client (not two separate programs like BM and BTV), and you can have an unlimited number of tuner cards installed without having to buy additional licenses. The more I think about it, Snapstream's products are simpily a cash grab because you have to pay more and more as you want to expand.

....but that's just my opinion!

Thanks for the input. I'll check out Media Portal as well!

Okay, I have this card and it doesn't work. I am having to replace it. May I ask what drivers you are using? I lost my CD and downloaded the newest drivers online which could be my problem. Before upgrading drivers it worked without any problems at all.

I've always downloaded the appropriate drivers from here

Try downloading the drivers, and their application software to verify the card does in fact work.

Those are the exact same drivers I have. The card does work with Leadtek's software. I have also tried the card in two seperate computers, the slower computer actually takes longer to crash, but still does.
