Feature Request - Remote Batch SmartChapters and ShowSqueeze
My main HTPC is quite powerful, but doing all of the SmartChapters/ShowSqueeze post-processing really bogs it down, reducing responsiveness for foreground tasks, even with a dual-core Athlon64 processor.
I'd like to be able to record the primary MPEG-2 file to a file server, then kick off a series of remote batch jobs to chapter-search and then showsqueeze to WMV (or preferably DiVX 6, though that will require 3rd party tools).
Has anyone figured out how to do this? I'm doing it now on a manual basis from various remote machines, but the process is cumbersome and error-prone. Scripted automation, particularly automation that takes into account the real-time machine loading characteristics of the nodes in the post-processing cluster, would be wonderful. I'd be willing to pay quite a bit for such a capability!
Thanks.
