By RAM drive I assume you mean a portion of the system memory that is partitioned off to be accessed like a disk. I do not see the point. When the program is started, the contents are read into memory and executed from there anyway.
The only way that a RAM disk would have performance benefits would be if BTV gets paged out to virtual memory, but somehow I do not think you are using that much of your system memory. RAM drives also have drawbacks. Anything stored on a RAM disk is lost when the computer loses power; if you do not copy the contents of the disk back into a hard drive folder before restarting or powering down the system, the information on the RAM disk will be gone. |
