How to get 'smart skip' to work

I have not been able to get "smart skip" in BTV to work. I see the xml file,
and have opened it, but how do I appy it? I hope not manually, that would be
way too tedious.

tia,

Unfortunately, I'm learning that you have to be a software engineer to use BeyondTV with any reasonable results. I'm very disappointed in SnapStream's service on this topic. This is just one thing (of many) that really should be built into the GUI.

good luck.

tia,

Did you have smartskip set up to automatically run for your recordings ? As long as smartskip has run, you should see the "markings" in the hud at the bottom of the screen during playback.

WMP does not use that file. You have to play it back in BTV to see the chapters.

He is correct. You also must have generate smart chapters enabled.

But there may be a solution for WMP. I came across this yesterday: BTV Enhancer for WMP9/10 Haven't had a chance to try it yet.

DIdnt work too well with me, but havent really tried in a while. Why use WMP? BTV's interface is great.
