File Size Issue?
It appears that all my recordings when set to the default NTSC DVD Ready Low-Res setting ("3906 kbps 1.68 GB per hour" as reported by Recording Preferences) complete appox. 350MB larger per hour than the estimate. On the Video Qualities page NTSC DVD Ready Low-Res is listed as having a 4224 kbps bitrate (not 3906), then on the Edit a Quality page for the same quality it is listed as 4000 kbps. Can anyone please explain this discrepancy?
I did a 2 min. test recording at both the NTSC DVD Ready Low-Res and the NTSC DVD Ready Hi-Res default settings. The NTSC DVD Ready Hi-Res file came in at 64.17MB and the NTSC DVD Ready Low-Res at 63.72MB. Not very much of a spread between the two. Making NTSC DVD Ready Low-Res a much less useful option. Any thoughts? Thanx!
