System Requirements Question

Hi

Would this system be enough to use BeyondTV smoothly with Recording, Live Tv and playback? Would 3D mode be pushing it?

Windows XP
Celeron 1.1 Ghz (100MHZBus Speed)
ATI Radeon 7500
Haupauge PVR-250
256MB PC-133 Memory
UDMA 66 7200 RPM Hard Drive

Its my sister in law's old PC that she was wanting to use for BeyondTV.

Thanks

Re: System Requirements Question

Not enough memory. Besides that I wouldn't use it for anything else then just recording (dedicated).

Re: System Requirements Question

Well it is pushing the minimum requirements so I’m not sure how great you success will be.

You could always download a trail and see how it goes.

Re: System Requirements Question

Thanks for the help.

One more question. Would buying a Radean 9600 of 5200 FX make a difference in overall performance over the 7500 or just make for a cleaner display?

Re: System Requirements Question

I've had BTV running with a Duron 800, PVR-250, AIW-7500, 512 megs.

I've noticed a slight stutter to the video during playback with BTV.
If I play back the same mpeg with the ATI player or with PowerDVD it's fine.
I've also tried SageTV and it works fine. I'm wondering if there is some small bug causing this in BTV.
Right now Im using an ATI 9200 SE for playback and the picture is clearer but the slight stutter is still there. I've tried just about every codec but the stutter persists only in BTV. Hopefully it will be fixed in a newer version or I may switch to Sage. I don't want a powerful system to run BTV if I can get by with an 800mhz which is cheap, runs cooler and works with Sage.
Anyone else notice this?
