Re: Via Epia M10000
I did have a brief play with an EPIA M1000 and PVR350 which worked relatvely well sa long as I used the PowerDVD decoder which utilises the M10000's MPEG accelerator.
Whilst not supported, I did find that the onboard TV-out in overlay mode worked fine for me.
Overall response was quite sluggish moving between menus but managable and it was possible to record one show whilst watching another.
However I eventually sold this solution to a friend who put MythTV on it and went with my spec below as I had the hardware to hand and it offered quieter operation via the Antec case and more expandability plus I wanted to install Meedio / BM to add MP3 support for which the EPIA was not really up to.
In conclusion, it is *just* possible to put a vanilla BTV on a Mini-ITX board!
