installed BTV and WHAM!

HI ALL, new here. just downloaded the trial to see what all the fuss is about. looks like a cool app. i currently have ... a7n8x dlx (w/soundstorm),amd 2500xp, win xp home(sp2) ati AIW 9800 pro. video is tosh 46h84 rptv (component cbl) audio yamaha ht5740 sur. rcvr. (spdif ). evrything worked great. except for ati's pvr software. wanted to try BTV and saw the trial. after installation i had no audio (in any app) unistalled and still nothing. did a restore and its back. what am i missing. also my cable box is not listed( SA 3250 HD) can i select the 3100? how bout the remote wonderII. saw some posts but its not listed in the setup either. do i need a usb uirt

I have the SA 3250 and use the 3100 with no problems. As for the audio, you might want to open the volume control to make sure that one of the settings didn't get muted. You will also need an IR blaster to change the channels on the cable box. If you don't have an IR Blaster, you can just hook it up to cable direct and BTV will change the channels.

after restore, audio came back. went for reinstall of BTV. during wizard i get " no capture device detected!" check in device manager and drivers not installed. (they were) restored back to earlier time and they are back. is it that dificult to install this app correctly?anyone else with similar config have these issues and figure it out?

I think that it is always tough using restore points because I can never remember exactly what was installed before/after the restore point. I usually uninstall everything, reinstall the drivers, and then reinstall BTV. Most people do have to tweak this to get it going, but once you get it going, it is sweet.
