Is there any way I can turn on the PVR with a remote? I can shut it off, but is there a way to turn it on? Also, If I want to output the PVR from the sound card directly to the TV, what cable do I need?

You'd need a receiver in the case that would bootstrap the pc. Take a look at Aopen's xcube - I'm sure there's got to be quite a few of those out there.
