Will a suspended computer come on for scheduled recording?

Hi Guys,
I'm looking at changing from MCE to BTV and was wondering whether BTV has the same standby and wakeup functionality as MCE.

I did a search and there some posts from last year saying that the computer cannot go into standby until BTV is closed from the tray. Is this still a probolem with the newest verison?

Also, if a computer is in S3 Suspend-to-Ram and a program is scheduled to record, will the PC wakeup and record the show then go back to sleep?

tnx

Now as a follow-up, does it come out of Suspend periodically to look for Remote Recordings? Or are any sent during a suspend ignored?

Re: Will a suspended computer come on for scheduled recording?

1. - I am glad it does not. The computer would have to go back online - Modem dialup noise.

2. The recordings are not ignored . They will be picked up when the computer goes online and checks for web recordings .

It would make more noise at night while the computer is hibernateing . I have got my pc a little quieter though . A stock cpu cooler is lot quieter than a Hefty turbo cpu cooler . My cpu fan died. Replacement was lots quieter .

We do not need all questions in one post .

I am sorry for post hijacking .

Modem? What's that? Oh, you mean the thing where the cable internet connection comes in? ;->

That wouldn't work for me. My wife and I frequently schedule remote recordings that need to record that day . . . possibly before we get home.

For some motherboards, the bios allows you to have the computer start at some specific time, that would be a work around...
