Question Recording Two Shows at the Same Time

I am relatively new to these forums, and i just recently purchased BTV.
I have a Haunnpage PVR 500 MCE, so that i can record two things at once, I didn't want conflicts. However, when one show overlaps with another, the original programming changes channels inexplicably. And the change is not the channel that the other recording is on. Also the sound cuts off when the channel is changed. Is there some setting that i screwed up? This is terribly annoying.

Thanks...

Re: Recording Two Shows at the Same Time

The PVR 500 MCE is rather new, so there may be bugs. If you haven't already done so, post to the official support forum.

Here are some things to check or consider. Did you use the MCE drivers for the card? Are you using MCE 2005 as your OS? Was this a fresh install of the OS and drivers? Does the card work for MCE itself?

Re: Recording Two Shows at the Same Time

I will ask Haunpagge's tech support about it.
I do not use or have MCE, but windows XP pro.
I just used the drivers that came on the CD, which seem to be the same as they have on the website.
This was a fresh install of the drivers when I got the card, but the OS is in good shape...It seems to always change to channel 4.

Thanks...

Hrm....just had a thought. When you setup each tuner did you define that the tuner should be locked down to a specific channel? Just a wild guess.....

Re: Recording Two Shows at the Same Time

It sounds like he's not configured his sources properly and have both sources using the same tuner... It might be worthwhile to go through the setup wizard and make sure the 2nd source is using tuner with the #2 at the end of it.

Re: Recording Two Shows at the Same Time

How do I go back through the setup?
I've looked around and cannot find a way.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Strangely enough, the original recording always cuts to channel 4 w/o sound.

peace...

You have to shut down BTV, and goto start>progams>Snapstream..>beyondtv>setup wizard
