Problems with BTV Link

I have a registered version of BTV (3.5), and just downloaded the trial version of BTV Link. When I start Link, it lists my server and asks to connect to it. When I tell it to do so, an error message comes up saying "Could not connect to MyServer - BeyondTV Server. Failed to get build number from server. Please update server to more recent version." I've searched through the forums, and the only solution I found is to reset the computer, which hasn't worked.

I believe BTV Link 3.5.1 will only connect to a BTV 3.5.1 server. BTV Link 3.5 will only connect to a BTV 3.5 server.

If you just downloaded a trial, you downloaded BTV Link 3.5.1, so is your BTV server currently running 3.5.1?

Kilrsat it right, you need to be running the same versions of BTV and BTV Link. I ran into before - when I was also 'testing' Link before I commited.

In this case update your version BTV to 3.5.1, then run the BTV Link 3.5.1, you sould have no problems.

I agree, use the same version of BTV and BTV Link. I use 3.5.1 for both and connected without any problems.
