Two tuners with two different inputs

Been searching, and i think what i want to do is possible ...

Want to set up two tuner cards, right now a PVR250, and an AIW 9600, (will upgrade to another PVR250 if this will work), so 1 card will be connected to a Rogers 8300HD box (it's a Scientific Atlanta cable box), the other to a Bell ExpressVu satellite receiver.

So both are external receivers, that need to be controlled by an IR Blaster of some sort (which i still need to purchase).

When i do the setup wizard, i get both signals working, and the guide is downloaded, and as i have learned the guides get merged into one signal view.

The connections for both are done over coax, (ie coax from the cable receiver into the ATI card, and the coax from the sat receiver into the PVR250).

A few questions

1 - since the receivers are different, the IR Blaster should have no issues once it learns the codes required, since the codes will be different, correct ?

2 -any recommendations on which IR Blaster ?

3 - is there a way to easily clean up the channel list, to get rid of the channels i don't want ? (ie edit an XML file or something, vs clicking through the gui)

4 - is it possible to change which channel commands are sent to the IR receiver (ie if the guide is listing channel 350, but the show is actually on channel 122, can this be modified easily)

5 - the channel listing for Bell does not seem to be complete (ie it is missing some PPV channels)

Thanks

Re: Two tuners with two different inputs

OK -- let's start at the top.

1) Yes -- there should be no issue if the two are different...

2) UIRT USB would be a good choice for the IR Blaster

3) Go through Web Admin: http://localhost:8129/SetupChannels.aspx and "Hide" the unwanted channels.

4) Not too sure about that....... and why that would be needed...?

5) Try XMLTV for listings...?

just a stab at those questions.
