Re: Record location

No problem...

to get to Web Admin, go here: http://localhost:8129

To put Web Admin back in the system try icon menu,

In Web Admin, go to SETTINGS --> ADVANCED --> MISCELLANEOUS
to re-enable.

If you need the instructions for changing the folders: http://kb.snapstream.com/?kbid=90

Re: Record location

I too would like to know. The free space on my drives is:

C: = 5gb
D: = 3gb
G: = 279gb

I've tried changing the location to drive D:, and then drive G:. When I ran a test this morning, the recording still goes to drive C:, under Documents and Settings.

I stopped and restarted BTV after making the change. I've also rebooted my PC.

Either the instructions flat out don't work, or I'm still [not] doing something because the instructions are incomplete. Can anyone please help?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Re: Record location

Did you set your default folder to the G drive? It will always record to the default drive unless you either tell it to go to a different drive or to set the other drive in the webadmin as the defualt recording folder.

Re: Record location

Check the settings in the ViewScape Recording Settings -- there will be a box to select the default folder....

Re: Record location

I've had nothing but trouble with changing recording locations either. I changed the default folder to a folder on the new drive, deleted the listing for the old folder, and finally deleted the old folder. Now, my shows won't record because the log says it couldn't find the old folder. However, if I am in the viewscape when the recordings are supposed to start, they do work.

Just now, I shut down Beyond TV, opened every single XML file in
C:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV
and replaced all occurances of the old folder name with the new folder name. I'll see if that helps or not.

Re: Record location

I have no issues with folders. I record on two different drives and a network drive.

You need to go into webadmin---setup recordings------recording manager and hit edit. Change the target video folder to the one you want and that is where it will record. If your folder does not show up than you have it set up wrong.

Go to settings-------video folders and either create or edit and be sure you have the right path and formated correctly----E:\Video or something like that.

Re: Record location

Okay, I got my problem fixed. I shut down BeyondTV, copied all the shows in the old folder to the new folder, opened the following XML files,

C:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV\RecentRecordings.xml
C:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV\Jobs.xml
C:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV\BlockedRecordings.xml
C:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV\BatchProcessor.xml

did a find a replace to replace the old folder name with the new one, and restarted BTV. Looks like it fixed the problems.
