I was wondering if anyone else is running BTV on a rear projection CRT and if they have experienced burnin or if they are concerned with it at all ? Thanks Jason

Re: Burn In from BTV ?
I have a 51" RPTV and also worry about burn-in due to static displays on the screen for too long. While the screensaver feature in BTV does reduce the risk, there still is a possibility of burn-in -- it just takes longer.
What happens if you fall asleep during playback and wake up 8 hours later? It is called panic. It would be trivial to have 2 stages of the screensaver. First is the dim screen and then it might entirely blank the screen or go to something similar to the "Windows XP" screensaver with some Snapstream logo moving around the display every few seconds. |
