BTV- what's on the horizon?

I'm curious to know, what kind of new features can we expect with the next version of BTV?

I worry that it will be Beyond Media integration.
I would hope that instead they swipe the Beyond Media ui extensability, add an api for event handling and put that out. Imagine how much more we could do with the front end if we could change it ourselves.

You are worried about the UI?

No, I am worried that instead of enhancing BTV itself, they will spend lots of time trying to make it integrate with Beyond Media. I would rather they open up the front end ui via an api and events so that we can customize all aspects of it.
The back end already does what I need it to do, and if not, I can customize it. But things like organizing shows by episode number, or category need some front end hooks to do.

Re: BTV- what's on the horizon?

I agree...

My system consists of two things (maybe three if I integrate WinAmp) -

Beyond TV
Nero Showtime (a player MUST have key commands- Nero does)

I'm using a freeware hotkey program to switch between the two so I can program my remote to control the two. I'd hate to see anything else included in BTV other than improvements to Beyond TV itself.
