MPEG-4 Capture Cards
Why are there no capture cards made by companies like Happauge that have hardware MPEG-4 encoders rather than MPEG-2 encoders? You can now buy digital camcorders (from Panasonic, Sanyo, etc.) that record video files directly to MPEG-4 that are reasonably priced so price shouldn't be an issue.
If such cards were available then you would have no need for ShowSqueeze. Isn't this the way of the future, after all MPEG-2 is early 90s technology, at best? |
