Audio but No Video -> Bleeding Edge Hardware

I was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on a problem I'm having. I'm putting together an HTPC and while I'm still waiting on certain components (case, motherboard, etc) I did receive my capture card (PVR-250).

Last night I decided to throw it in my workstation and play around with BTV on my LCD just to get acclamated with the software. Unfortunately, during the setup wizard I get very scratchy audio and no video on any channel other than 9 (which I find highly unusual).

The hardware I'm using is an Intel 925X-based board and an LGA775 Pentium 4 processor with DDR-2. The video card is a PCI-Express NVIDIA Quadro FX5750.

I have the latest drivers installed for the PVR-250, I've applied the PVR-250 driver update and the updated MPEG-2 decoder. I've installed the latest audio drivers from Intel (I'm just using the onboard HDA), the latest video drivers from NVIDIA and the system is running Windows XP SP2 with DirectX 9c.

Originally I thought I couldn't see any channels at all, I just got a varying array of snow and black with audio, then I hit channel 9 (I'm just using standard cable) and I got full image and audio that wasn't scratchy.

My cable provider was listed (Canada -> Cogeco Cable) and all the channels appear correct in the EPG.

I did ensure the display was set to primary and I've toggled all settings in BTV, the encoder, switching from overlay to 3d accelerated and such.

I'm guessing since Channel 9 seems to display alright that I have something else going on other than a simple driver/encoder/software problem.

Any ideas? I'd appreciate any input you may have. Thanks! I'm looking forward for my Ahanix D.Vine 4 to arrive so I can put my BTV box into production. :-)

Re: Audio but No Video -> Bleeding Edge Hardware

Is your '250 a retail, or a BTV250? What driver version did you install?

Some of the newer pvr-250 retail models need a special driver because hauppauge switched the tuner chips on them and they wont tune properly with directshow, you can get an updated (beta) driver for these here that will allow beyondtv to function properly:
