BTV link on mini-ITX boards?
Hello,
I'm thinking of building a new HTPC box running Beyond Media and Beyond TV Link. Since it'll only be BTV Link and not full-blown BTV, I'm thinking of going with a mini-itx mobo to cut the necessary wattage (and assoc. fan noise). I'm specifically looking at this case (http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-lc05.htm) as a contender. It has an 80-watt power supply which I would think would be enough for an ITX board with integrated video/lan/audio. I'm thinking about an M100 board for the integrated MPEG-2 hardware assist. I've heard some problems running BTV on these boards but any reason I shouldn't be able to run BTV Link on one? I'm intending on streaming 720x480 streams from the BTV server to this client at "High" quality. Can the integrated decoder handle this size stream? Thanks all for any comments!!
