Question 2 PVR 250 cards and ATI AIW 9600

Question is with this setup:
- 3 satellite receivers (same satellite provider for all 3)
- one well equipped PC server
- 2 Hauppauge PVR 250 cards
- 1 ATI AIW 9600 card

Can you, with BTV 3.5, record two shows and stream a third to a PC on a LAN?

I think it says somewhere that it is not possible to stream live shows when a hardware encoder is installed the same PC? (I would get another AIW card and another server if not)

Can someone please confirm that the BTV 3.5 multi-lineup feature supports two satellite connections from the same service, one for each PVR 250? It seems you are able to have cable+satellite, just wanted to know if satellite+satellite is valid as well.

I have a USBUIRT so I know I can control at least 2 sat receivers

thanks

Re: 2 PVR 250 cards and ATI AIW 9600

HW encoders only stream when using BTV Link client software. It does it pretty well though imho, far nicer than any wmv / ie browser streaming.

And yes, you can have two sat connections from the same service, one for each 250.

However, the other question about recording 2 and streaming to the lan.. Yes it's possible.
I'm not sure how the sw/hw encoder combination affects streaming / btv link usage, but I know that if you have say, 3 pvr250's - you can definitely record on 2, and stream a third. I think your sw/hw combo will 'work' but won't be a supported configuration.

You might want to trial it first
