Update MDAC before continuing?

I had to re-install my operating sytem on a new harddrive and put XP home with service pack 2 and now beyond tv will not install. I get the error message that I must update MDAC before continuing installation. I guess this is because of service pack 2. Any suggestions? Will Beyond tv 3.5 solve this? I see where it does not use MDAC, whatever that means. If so, how do I get it? I have Beyond TV 3 now. Thanks.

Re: Update MDAC before continuing?

Nah Eric, this will not work. SP2 INTEGRATES MDAC into it, and therefore gets confused and will not let the installer work correctly.

Last I was told this was only an issue with the web-component installer, if you use the full installer (http://www.snapstream.net/download/TrialFull.aspx) it should fix the issue. Otherwise, the only thing I can suggest is 3.5, because I *KNOW* that will take care of it, since MDAC is no longer used.

Re: Update MDAC before continuing?

Oops sorry. I had reinstalled MDAC once on W2K. Not aware of the WP Sp2 thingy.
