Re: BTV/Registry Hacks

Improve Sharpness
With this trick you can change the sharpness of both livetv and recording in wintv2k (and also in some other programs like BeyondTV)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Globespan\Parameters\ivac15\Driver]

"SharpnessValue"=dword:00000007 (min value = 0, max = 7)

Note : There are more filtersettings that can improve the quality, like the image noise reduction settings, but the current default values are pretty good and to make it not to complex I won’t futher explain them here. But if you want look under the same key for “FltDnrMode, “FltDnrSpatFltLevel and “FltDnrTempFltLevel and try it out).

Note 2: You need to reboot before the setting take effect.

Re: BTV/Registry Hacks

I'm on Windows XP SP1 and none of them values exist on my system!

I'm using the WinTV PVR PCI (which came before the 250/350) which is not supported by BTV (well the hardware 'pvr' functions anyway!)

I'm buying the WinTV PVR 350 today as i need an up-to-date card!

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question anyway!

-Paul.
