Blurry high action on PVR-250

I've got a great setup that looks flawless in low action, but in high action shots, especially in cartoons, I see onion skinning. It looks blurry and I can see motion trails. Is there a setting I can change?

I have that too. I don't know of how to fix it, but if anyone finds out, I would really appreciate someone posting it.

Re: Blurry high action on PVR-250

This thread constantly comes up over time...I think the PVR 250 / 350 should have a dedicated sticky thread for users to share configs, etc. I am especially interested in the registry hacks, which I can not seem to find. I know many people have apparently fixed their setups so that this is no longer an issue...

My situation is the same as most everyone elses...Good typical TV viewing (news, documentaries, etc.) but cartoons and esp. sports (and esp. esp. hockey, although that may not be an issue this year ) experience tearing and blurring just enough to be noticeable (and slightly annoying). The other 'test' that people gravitate to is the scroling ticker symbols on the bottom of the Fox News page. Again, mine is slightly blurry and skips once in a while.

I am using a PVR 250 w/ GF MX440 (set to hardware decode w/ latest NV drivers) ------> S-Vid out to TV

Re: Blurry high action on PVR-250

I just put in a fx5200 last night and am seeing the same thing, tarring of the image with fast left to right movements.

i found this searching the forums in this thread http://forums.snapstream.com/vb/showthread.php?t=17387&highlight=fx5200

BTW, I'm encoding using the PVR-250 and the output to the TV is s-video. I'm really hoping for an answer to this problem.

and a fix.....

Forcing it to 'on' fixed the problem completely.

Wow this worked for me!!! Should be a sticky for all NV GeForce owners! Simply change to Overlay mode and make sure V-Synch is turned on. That's it...

I'm a happy guy. Thanks to all for their hard work on this.

Re: Blurry high action on PVR-250

This worked for me. ... for the most part. I still see minor tearing. Also, I had to change my decoder from the WinDVD one to the generic one. All I got was a black screen.
