Control timing of Windows/Norton update and restarts

I was wondering, if there was a tool (or if anyone was working on one) that would be able to control when windows update runs, and norton update, and maybe even automatically reboot the system, to only run when there are no recordings scheduled in BTV? (or showsqueeze for people that use that)

Sometimes mine tapes old reruns at 3 am so I have to pay attention to the upcoming recordings and change when windows update and norton update is scheduled to run.

But it would be nice if this was handled automatically.

Even if there was some playing around, like probably Girder or CQS could handle the automation (if they can kick off at certain times I don't know much about them), but just getting the hooks into BTV would be the problem.
