Web Configuration

Sorry, I'm pretty new to this. I just setup my system this weekend. I'm not sure of the terminology. There this remote web administration that talks to port 8129 . I've read this is the port that has to be open in the fire wall to remotely administer BeyondTV. I've got this port opened and tested today from work and to my dismay, I did not get any sort of login information...Woowa. I immediately closed this port.

What is the deal with this? Howcome anyone can come into this site and manipulate things without any sort of user id or password challenge??? I don't like the idea of someone snooping into my network or changing any of my settings. Am I missing something here or is this just suppose to be used internally as a configuration tool?

Go in web admin, under settings//advanced there is an option to set security and set a password.

bugger, I just tried this and now it won't let me in to webadmin has

Username
password

enabled security, set a password, then it asked for username/password.

As it displayed administrator I assumed that was the username & put in the password I created... no go, please enter username/password.

anyway to reset this without uninstalling?
