WinTV-USB Audio Sync Problems

Is anyone else using the Hauppauge WinTV-USB TV tuner box?

I know that it is older, but it is all I have. The picture is "acceptable" but the problem I have is that the voice is out of sync with the picture.

I have this problem outside of BTV, but if I use the audio output from the box to my sound card and use my line input signal from my sound card instead of getting the sound over the USB connection, everything is good. However, it appears that BTW will only use the USB sound signal.

Does anyone know how to get arround this?

Yes, I too used to have the audiosync problem with hauppauge USB, and I discovered that by going with the hauppauge 250btv and beyond TV, the difficulty went away. I believe it had to do with my 2.6 gig celeron not running all the processes at a fast enough speed. And yet, when if I performed a restart on my box, then watched or recorded using the wintv tuner, I didn't have any difficulties untill I opened other programs (ie: email, browser). Surprsingly, even when I shut down these programs, the sync problems remained. I tried all the fixes in the knowledge base, and updated the drivers, did a complete reinstall, but I was never able to completely remove the sync difficulties. I also tried using showshifter software, but the same result ensued.
