Any opinions on Nvidia "Personal Cinema" line?
I'm the (mostly) happy owner of a 250-BTV, and finally have my HTPC up and running pretty smoothly. However, now I'm eyeing the horizon and thinking of upping my specs to include some sort of optical audio out, and more importantly, component video out. I'd like to have HD-quality output to my RPTV, but I don't have DVI in. In every thread discussing this topic, two suggestions are always made: AIW (plus component adapter) or external transcoder. I don't really want to spend the extra $$$ for the external box, and I'm personally much fonder of Nvidia, so I'd rather avoid AIW if possible....
So in my searching, I stumbled onto the Nvidia "Personal Cinema" series. The higher models, at least, have the ability to output HD-quality component out, and they include a tuner as well. I'm wondering if anyone has used one of these, and if they have any recommendations or opinions they want to share. I'm not dying to buy the board right away, but I'd like to know whether I'm investigating a lemon or not...
