IR Blaster & Beyond TV
Apart from any plugin (ir code relating to the desired set top box) does Beyond TV required any other program to enable an IR Blaster to communicate with a Set top box? (My DirecTV RCA DRD202RA cannot accept a serial or other cable connection)

No BTV is all you need. You should not even see the IR blaster listed in your device manager. If you install any driver for it the IR blaster will not work.
